Recent festival photos

Yes, I love music, camping and hanging out with friends.  Thus, music festivals are a yearly adventure as the weather starts to warm.  Eurovan & friends.

Here are a few photos

  1. Hi John: Just discovered your blog! Taking delivery of a 2002 Eurovan Weekender on Monday! I was wondering if one of the festivals you've taken yours too is that "thing in the desert"? And what kind of preparations you make to do that?

  2. Yes, I've been to the thing in the desert. I've driven my EV and my Golf TDI there. No real big concerns on my part. I do put in a "used" air filter as I'm approaching the desert and bring an extra one, then swap back after. I try not to drive on the steepest passes (depends on where you are starting from). I will bring the top down in high winds. A cover for the windshield on the outside (sun) is advisable and park so you don't get A.M. or afternoon sun directly on sleeping/living space.
This year, I may buy an Add A Room tent and some camo netting to go from the top of the EV down the sides to stay a bit cooler. A friend as an Add A Room for his vanagon Westy, and I like how sturdy it is and how it encloses the sliding door a bit.

  3. Btw, I'll be at WMICC - Organic Fruits & Veggies at 3 & K.
